De Hoek House is situated on the Middelrus road near to Mooi River. This self catering accommodation establishment offers extremely good value for money with excellent self catering facilities

De Hoek House - Self Catering accommodation on the Middlelrus road near to Mooi RiverDe Hoek House is situated  on 3000ha of a beautiful farm on the Midlands Meander just outside Mooi River on the Middelrus Road. This self catering home has a lovely ambiance, is tastefully appointed and fully equipped. A covered verandah has a view of the attractive garden and surrounding grassland hills.

Guests may make use of the private swimming pool, go fishing or walking on the extensive property. Dogs and Horses welcome – subject to owners’ conditions. Typical of a farmhouse is the long passage that links the spacious, interior rooms. There are three rooms that have French windows leading out onto the verandah, once opened, only a step away:

A bedroom with a king-sized double bed, lounge area, cot and en suite bathroom with a shower and Victorian-style bath; Lounge with fireplace, well stocked bookshelf and DSTV; Dining room with seating for 8.

A second lounge has a fireplace and door leading out onto the verandah. The kitchen is totally equipped for self-catering including a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, stove, oven and numerous cooking & serving utensils, crockery and cutlery. De Hoek makes self catering almost feel like  luxury.

This self catering facility also offers a second bathroom with a shower, Victorian-style bath and separate loo. The second bedroom has a queen-sized double bed, the third is twin bedded and the fourth is adjacent to the side entrance with a Queen-sized double bed, Victorian bathroom interleading with a twin bedded room. 10m from the house is a bunkhouse that contains 2 bunk/stack beds and an en suite shower-room.

Fly-fishing, swimming pool, walks, mountain biking, birding, Midlands Meander and golf nearby.
