Hlalanathi
is situated halfway between Gauteng and the coast, this is an ideal
breakaway resort with modern facilities and sparkling ablutions.
Hlalanathi Drakensberg Resort is priveleged to be a family heritage set
with the most magnificent view of the recently proclaimed Unesco World
Heritage site, the Amphitheatre of the Natal Drakensberg Park.
The farm has been in the ownership of the van Rensburg family since 1932.
Hans van Rensburg for many years allowed the overflow of the Royal natal
National Park campsite to camp on the property.
The present resort was started by Jack and Heather van Rensburg in 1983.
At present there are 16 self-catering thatched chalets and 56 electrified
caravan/ tent sites.
Guests enjoy the quaint restaurant Esibayeni with its festive pub, The
Boars head. The now well-established gardens with the mountains as the view,
entice folk to laze and relax!
However, for the more active, Hlalanathi boasts one of the finest golf
courses. Even if you aren't a golfer, a walk around the manicured course to
enjoy the peace of the rolling terrain, the water features and bird life is
