Vergelegen Nature Reserve

The Vergelegen Nature Reserve is part of the Drakensberg / uKhahlamba Park, a World Heritage Site. Vergelegen Nature Reserve is situated north of Himeville and west of Howick and consists of 1159 ha.

The Vergelegen Nature Reserve is another trout fisherman's paradise with picnic sites available for day visitors who come to enjoy the park's pleasant walks. Many buck are readily seen within the reserve. There is access to Thaba Ntlenyana, the highest peak in Southern Africa (3482m) from Vergelegen Nature Reserve.
