Our Deluxe Rooms have mountain views and have either 2 separate ¾ beds, a queen & ¾ bed or queen bed. Bathrooms are equipped with a bath and walk-in shower.
Our Standard rooms have 2 separate ¾ beds; 2 of these rooms have a queen & ¾ bed. Standard rooms have a garden or pool view. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower over the bath, with the exception of our 6 family rooms which have a bath & walk-in shower. Standard family rooms have 2 separate ¾ beds, a room divider and 2 single beds for children.
All rooms have a colour television ( SABC 1/2/3; M-Net, Movie Magic, e-tv, Supersport 1 & 2; Discovery; Cartoon Network as well as 2 x Radio Channels), tea & coffee making facilities and are en-suite.
For those who love privacy and a combination of creature comforts and independence, the self-catering comfortably furnished chalets are a world apart. All have magnificent panoramic views of the amphitheatre or lush surrounding forests. All self-catering guests are more than welcome to join us at the hotel for a delicious meal in our diningroom.
A 4-Sleeper Chalets has one bedroom with 2 separate ¾ beds, as well as 2 separate single pull out beds (not sleeper couches) in the downstairs lounge. These chalets sleep maximum 4 guests, regardless of age (2 adults & 2 children recommended).
A 6-Sleeper Chalet has two bedrooms - the main bedroom has 2 x ¾ beds pushed together, the other bedroom has 2 separate ¾ beds and 2 separate single pull out beds (not sleeper couches) in the downstairs lounge. These chalets sleep maximum 6 guests regardless of age.
All self-catering units are fully equipped with a stove, microwave, fridge, crockery, cutlery, bedding etc. Self-catering units have a private braai area outside on the patio and a fire place inside the lounge. We provide wood @ R20.00 per bundle (subject to increase).
Should self-catering guests wish to enjoy a meal in our hotel, we serve a full 8-course buffet dinner every evening @ R140.00 per person (subject to increase) and our buffet breakfasts are a Full English buffet & Continental @ R80.00 per person (subject to increase), and Continental only @ R 50.00 per person (subject to increase) in our diningroom. Lunches are à la Carte. ADVANCE NOTICE IS REQUIRED.

HARRISMITH COUNTRY CLUB Situated in the town of Harrismith, 42km's from Little Switzerland, is the Harrismith Country Club. This beautiful 18-hole Golf Course is the second oldest in South Africa, and well worth a few rounds for the amateur or professional! DRAKENSBERG BOYS CHOIR The cost of a visit to the choir includes tea and scones. Concerts are on Wednesdays only, at 15h30. Subject to school holidays and tours. Please contact Little Switzerland reception for costs and directions. DRAKENSBERG PUMPED STORAGE (HYDROSCHEME) The Hydroscheme is situated below the Oliviershoek Pass. For power generating purposes, water from the Tugela River is circulated between the Upper Driekloof Dam and the Lower Kilburn Dam, by means of a 4.5KM waterway. The 4 reversible pump turbines, situated 52 storeys below ground level, generate 1000MW for the Eskom National Grid. The power station is also part of the Tugela-Vaal Scheme, which supplies water to the Gauteng area. Water from the Tugela River, pumped into the Driekloof Dam, overflows into the Sterkfontein Dam. Tours are at 10h00 and 14h00 Mondays to Thursdays, and at 10h00 only on Fridays. Free of charge (arrange own transport). MARQUAHOUSE This Arts and Crafts factory house is situated in Harrismith and is stocked with pottery, leather, glass, woven materials and much, much more. Business hours : 08h30 - 17h30 Weekdays 08h30 - 13h00 Weekends RETIEFKLIP/PASS For those who are interested in South African History, visiting is a must. Information and directions can be obtained at Little Switzerland reception. THOKOZISA ETHNIC VILLAGE Situated near Winterton, this centre has just about everything from curios, a wine cellar, a restaurant and even a furniture shop. SPIONKOP DAM Situated between Ladysmith and Bergville, this reserve will give you a chance to view rhino, giraffe, buffalo and a variety of antelope during a game drive. BASOTHO CULTURAL VILLAGE The Basotho Cultural Village nestles in the heart of the Qwa-Qwa National Park. Here the lifestyle and architecture of the South Sotho is accurately depicted. Follow the guide's footsteps into the "khotla", the gathering place of men. Accept the Basotho hospitality by taking a sip from the traditional beer offered. Listen to the rangoon and lesiba and engage in a game of marabaraba. KWAZULU WEAVERS RUG & CANDLE FACTORY Situated near Winterton, en-route to Thokozisa, these two factories are adjacent to each other. While having a stroll amongst the exquisitely crafted handmade candles, see how the weavers weave their magic into their beautiful rugs.

FROM JOHANNESBURG
Take the N3 to DURBAN / HARRISMITH. Take the second off-ramp at HARRISMITH – BETHELEHEM N5 ( NOT Wimpy – Bergview Complex ). Turn right towards BETHLEHEM and bypass HARRISMITH. Travel 4.5KM and turn left onto the R712, QWA-QWA / PHUTHADITJHABA / BERGVILLE Road – ALTERNATIVE ROUTE to DURBAN. Travel a further 8.5KM and turn left onto the BERGVILLE R74. Little Switzerland Resort is situated a further 27.6KM on the right hand side of the OLIVIERSHOEK PASS.
FROM DURBAN
Take the N3 to JOHANNESBURG. Turn off at the COLENSO / BERGVILLE R74 off – Ramp (This is the first off-ramp after the Estcourt Shell Ultra City). Turn left following the signs to WINTERTON. Travel through WINTERTON and BERGVILLE to Little Switzerland Resort. The Resort is situated 36km from BERGVILLE on the left hand side of the OLIVIERSHOEK PASS.
FROM BLOEMFONTEIN
Take the N1 from BLOEMFONTEIN to WINBURG. At WINBURG, take the off-ramp to SENEKAL / BETHLEHEM / HARRISMITH. Approximately 4.5KM before HARRISMITH, turn right onto the R712 – ALTERNATIVE ROUTE TO DURBAN ( BERGVILLE turn-off). Travel a further 8.5 KM and turn left onto the BERGVILLE R74 (Alternative route to Durban). Little Switzerland Resort is situated a further 27.6KM on the right hand side of the OLIVIERSHOEK PASS.
