AttractionsAll lodges at Nambiti offer two game drives per day. The first drive is at 06:00 and the the second is at 15:30. This means exclusive use of a 4x4 vehicle, accompanied by a trained game ranger. Activities Activities on offer include two game drives of approximately 3 hours each, weather permitting, fishing in the reserve’s well stocked dams, battlefield tours by arrangement, picnics/dinners at waterfall, river swimming and by arrangement bush dinners/breakfasts. The Battle of Elandslaagte was fought on the Nambiti Conservancy and the original hospital still stands within its boundaries.

Whilst being a child-friendly safari lodge, Elephant Rock does not take responsibility for the children’s safety whilst at the lodge or out on a game drive and asks that parents supervise their children at all times. Safari Conferences and Workshops The lodge is ideal for small exclusive conferences or workshops for up to ten people. Exclusive use of the lodge allows a conference, activities and meals to be planned to the guests’ requirements.
DirectionsThe Nambiti Conservancy is situated 25 km's east of Ladysmith and is only 3½ hours from Johannesburg, 2½ hours from Durban and 40 minutes from the Drakensberg. Please see map for details. Directions from Johannesburg Head for Ladysmith on the N3. Once you have entered KwaZulu Natal via Van Reenen, look out for the Ladysmith Toll off-ramp (at the bottom of Van Reenen's Pass. Turn left and drive toward Ladysmith on the R103. When you arrive in Ladysmith, drive straight through, following the N11 Road to Newcastle. From the last traffic lights leaving Ladysmith travel for ± 7kms. Turn Right onto the D45 Road, follow for ± 10Km’s, at the T-Junction turn right, travel along side the game fence for 4 Km until you reach the gate-house which is staffed. Directions from Durban Head for Ladysmith on the N3 – Take the Ladysmith / Bergville Toll Off Ramp. Turn Right and head for Ladysmith, drive straight through Ladysmith on the N11 Road towards Newcastle from the last robots leaving Ladysmith travel for ± 7kms. Turn Right onto the D45 Road, follow for ± 10Km’s, at at the T-Junction turn right, travel along side the game fence for 4 Km until you reach the gate-house which is staffed.
