Corby Rock Farm was the property of the Crown until it was bought by the Hesom Family in 1894. The farm is currently seeing it’s fourth generation of Hesom’s.

Backpackers

Every backpackers dream. Situated at the top of the silo we have two by four bedded rooms that come with tea and coffee.

Enjoy home cooked meals in our farm style dinning room and refresh your spirits in our cosy bar. The perfect stop over for backpackers, young and old.

Relax and take in the tranquility. Put on your boots and traverse all 2000 acres of the farm.

Try and catch a glimpse of one of the many shy Kudu, Duiker, Steenbuck, Meercats, Impala and many various bird species on the farm or just take a leisurely stroll and visit our natural springs to revitalise your soul.

Attractions

Bring your horses for a relaxing outride on the farm to view the fauna and flora or a game ride - stabling available. For the hobby-fisherman, we offer fishing in the farm dam.  For the more adventurous bring your quad or 4 x 4. Microlight flights can be arranged for a birds eye-view of the numerous battlefields. A short drive to Dundee you will find the best 18 golf course in Northern Natal and the Talana Museum is a 10 minute drive from the farm and well worth a visit!   Tours can be arranged to visit the numerous battlefields surrounding us.

Bring your horse and enjoy the trails through the farmlands and nearby foothills, where you will experience fine examples of the areas abundant Fauna and Flora.
